Good Computer Games for Learning

How much can you allow your kids to play games? Do you set a specific time for them to get hold of their joysticks? Or do you simply ban them from playing? Either way, are you the parent who teaches their children moderation?

If you are the parent who sees value in everything you'll show your kids that video games can be more than just a waste of time. The thought that video games rot the brain has been proved false. Research speaks highly of the video games’ capacity in line with challenging the brain so it could work its way in a variety of ways. Traditionally when we think of studying we think of a book and memorization.

As you would observe, most children would rather run to their video game stations right upon reaching home rather than take off their uniforms and shoes. They wouldn't even eat if they didn't have to. And more so, they would be gladder to play their favorite video games instead of finish their homework. Now what they are actually unaware of is the fact that they are exercising their brains apart from their thumb muscles. How do they do this? As per the brain imaging findings, the human brain is able to meet the transitions through constant practice. When one meets a challenge then the brain is forced to react and thus it gets stronger like any muscle. Experts agree that playing those video games lessens the chances of acquiring dementia and it is one effective way of acquiring a visual language which could be applicable in other real-life situations.

Video games involve quick decision making and such skill is honed through constant practice. The player is able to look into the proofs presented, analyze the situation at hand, and bring out challenges for the brain to solve. For most kids, playing their favorite video games is fun. That is based on the fact that kids say what they are thinking free of a sensor. They don't even suspect that they are learning while having fun. Often these games cause self reflection. Learning how to do certain actions that games require a person to use their eyes to see how to achieve an objective and relay that info to their hands to do what is necessary. It make sense that not all games are bad for kids and their minds.
